Audition

To apply to the talent show, you will need to record a YouTube video, which will serve as your audition. Please adhere to the following guidelines for your video:

No longer than 4 minutes in length.
Video can be public or unlisted (but not private).
Must be appropriate to be showcased on Twitch, following their terms of service.
No excessive cursing.
Deadline to submit your audition is Wednesday June 17th 11:59PM EDT.
Participants will be notified via Discord if they have been selected for the live show by Friday June 19th 2PM EDT.

Format

10 participants will be chosen for the live show on June 20, 2020 at 2PM EDT. The show will be dual broadcast live on twitch.tv/felicity and twitch.tv/vocodahmusic.

Round 1

A wheel will be spun to determine the order in which the participants will perform. Each performer will be given instructions to join a link via Jitsi (meet.jit.si), where they will perform live when it is their turn. After all the participants have performed, the 4 judges will each pick one contestant to move on to Round 2. The audience will vote on the remaining 6 contestants, and one more will move on to Round 2, totaling 5 participants for Round 2.

Round 2 - Semifinals

The 5 participants will perform their next act through the same process. After all 5 participants have performed, the judges will decide on the 2 participants that will move on to the Finals.

Round 3 - Finals

The last 2 participants will perform their final act, and the audience will vote on the winner.

Requirements for the 10 chosen participants of the live show

Must be available from 1:45PM to 5PM EDT on June 20, 2020 to perform live via webcam.
Must have clear microphone and webcam.
Must have joined our Discord (https://discord.gg/felicity) and be willing to join the voice chat to talk on stream and with judges.
Round 1 performance must be the same type of act as audition. For example, if you sang for your audition, you must sing for Round 1. If you make it to Round 2, you are welcome to perform another talent such as beatboxing. However, keep in mind that this could be risky.

Streaming

You may stream your own performance, but you may not stream the official show that is broadcasted from the hosts’ channels.
If you do stream, please mention the talent show that you are a part of.

Rules

No bullying or harassment.
No spamming in chat.
No racist, sexist, or homophobic comments.
No use of social media to sway the vote in any way. This includes but is not limited to the use of Twitch, Discord, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to promote the Strawpoll vote which should only be posted by the moderators in the chat.
Breaking any of these rules will result in disqualification.
By participating in the show, you agree for us to reserve the right to use your performances for promotional purposes.
